A Palestinian man grabbed a pistol from an Israeli security guard in Jerusalem's Old City and shot him on Friday, but was shot dead by another guard as he tried to flee, Israeli police said, according to AP. Rescue teams reported that nine other people were wounded in the melee. The assailant, roughly 20 years old, wrested the weapon from the guard in the Old City's Muslim Quarter, shot him in the chest and fled, police and rescue services said. Another guard ran after him, and the two briefly exchanged fire before the Palestinian was killed, police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. Nine bystanders were wounded by the gunfire, according to rescue services.
