The Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Amin Madani has commended the programs and activities carried out by the delegation of Saudi Arabian Scout Association during their current participation in 21st International Scout Camp 2007. As many as 40000 scouts from various countries are taking part in the camp due to be concluded on August 8. In a message sent to Dr. Abdullah bin Salih Al-Obeid, Minister of Education and Chairman of Saudi Arabian Scout Association, Minister Madani stressed that the Kingdom's support for International Scout Peace Gift Project supervised by World Scout Organization and naming after the King various of its development programs resulted from the international appreciation of the King for his keenness on propagating the good and peace all over the world and on supporting activities of international scout movements comprising more than 28 million scouts. The Minister of Culture and Information pointed out that the program of International Scout Peace Gift Project has had noble objectives having desired effects on the achievement of the world peace. He affirmed that the scout movement in the Kingdom has been fully supported and encouraged by the wise leadership as a way for teaching, educating and physiological and social preparation. Madani noted the King's address during his audience with world scouts in 2002 in which he described them as messengers of the good, love and peace all over the world, indicating that this is the slogan called for by the Kingdom which emanates from the principles of Islam. As a result of this support, Saudi Arabian Scout Association has come on top of the lists in comparison with its world counterparts at regional and international arenas along with its accession into memberships of Youth Consultative Committee of World Scout Bureau, World Scout Fund and international and regional scout technical committees. Minister Madani called on Saudi scouts to convey a positive image of Saudi scouts characterized by their love of the good, peace and humanity as a whole.
