The number of death victims in the floods and landslides in Morowali, Central Sulawesi, continued to rise reaching 51 on Tuesday, according to the health ministry. "Another victim died today to raise the number of deaths to 51 while 39 others are believed to be still buried," ANTARA quoted Dr. Rustam S. Pakaya, the head of the ministry`s Crisis Control Center, as saying. He said because of the disaster 53 people had been referred to hospitals for injuries or an illness and 42 are currently still being treated there. He said 8,569 people who had been displaced were now accomModated at shelters, adding they had no health problems. Pakaya said flood water in the district of Luwuk, South Sulawesi, meanwhile already receded in several areas. He said 15 people had been found dead because of the flood in the district.
