On behalf of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz , the Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, Prince Khalid bin Sultan, the Ministry's Assistant Minister for Military affairs will grace on Tuesday the opening of Prince Mansour Military Hospital in Taif. The Hospital went through a series of expansions. It started in 1947 as a small medical center in Taif city with ten beds capacity, which was raised to 224-beds facility in the last expansion. The new expansion has added as many as 74 beds, said Gen. Ketab Al-Otaibi, the Director General of the Armed forces Medical Services. The Hospital, in its early stages, was the first project of the Directorate and it is now a big leap forward for military hospitals under top attention of the Crown Prince. He added that the directives of the Crown Prince to develop and enhance the Medical Services for the Armed Forces were meant for serving citizens and expatriates in addition to military personnel who are now benefiting from a total of 5000 beds facilities, available at all advanced and well-equipped military hospitals throughout the Kingdom, he added.
