The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz chaired this Monday afternoon the cabinet's weekly session held at Alsalam Palace in Jeddah. At the outset of meeting, the King briefed the council of ministers on the contacts, meetings and consultations he made during the last week with a number of heads of states and their representatives and envoys. The talks dealt with bilateral relations and issues of the region and the world. Minister of Culture and Information Iyad Madani told Saudi Press Agency following the session that the cabinet stressed the Saudi firm and principled stands toward the security and stability of the region. The minister added that the cabinet then reviewed the agenda of the session and took the following decisions: The cabinet approved the USD30 million contribution by the General Investments Fund to the capital of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation. The cabinet approved the re-formation of the five-member board of directors of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund for three years starting from the date of the approval of this decision. --More
