A senior Sudanese official has hailed the humanitarian assistance provided by the UAE to floods victims in his country. General Bakri Hassan Saleh, Minister of Presidential Affairs said the generous help provided by the UAE builds on the country's long tradition in the field of humanitarian and charitable works. The Sudanese official was speaking to a delegation of the Red Crescent Authority which is currently visiting Sudan to coordinate the delivery of relief aid to victims of recent floods which claimed the lives of more than 60 people. General Saleh asked the delegation to convey his greetings and thanks to Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the RCA, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM."
