PRINCE TURKI BIN NASSER BIN ABDULAZIZ, THE PRESIDENT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, SAID THE EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF THE ARAB ENVIRONMENT MINISTERS, WHICH WAS HELD EARLIER TODAY HERE, APPROVED THE TOPICS ON THE AGENDA.
HE NOTED THAT THE TOPICS APPROVED BY THE MINISTERS WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE NEXT ARAB SUMMIT AND THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL SUMMIT.
PRINCE TURKI BIN NASSER UNDERLINED THE IMPORTANCE OF THE INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT.
ASKED ABOUT THE ARAB SATELLITE, HE SAID THE SATELLITE AIMS AT GIVING A GOOD IDEA ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT IN THE ARAB WORLD AS WELL AS INFORMATION ABOUT METEOROLOGY AND DESERTIFICATION.
