The fourth round of Pak-India talks on economic and commercial cooperation under composite dialogue will commence in New Delhi on July 31, officials said. Commerce Secretary Syed Asif Ali Shah will lead the Pakistani delegation in the two-day talks, which will follow up and review the agenda already discussed in the previous negotiations held in March 2006 in Islamabad. Among other items, the agenda will also include import of tea, opening of bank branches, transportation of goods, joint registration of Basmati rice, insurance, transit trade, cooperation on capital markets and matters relating to business visas, officials said. New items expected to be discussed include holding of trade exhibitions in each other s country. India wants expansion in Pakistan s positive list. Officials said both the countries have agreed on upgradation of trade facilities on Wagah and Attari border. Modalities will be finalised in the new round. Shipping agreement has already been signed between the two countries.
