Private firms of Pakistan and China have signed mutual agreements worth around $300 million to import Pakistani products into China, said an official statement. The agreements were signed at a function organized by Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) in the honour of visiting 43-member Chinese business delegation headed by Assistant Minister Commerce of China Wang Chao. The basic aim of the visit is to promote balanced development of the bilateral trade and to push forward the two countries economic cooperation in all sectors, Wang Chao said. He said that the Chinese enterprises have held trade talks with their Pakistani counterparts on expanding import of Pakistan s advantageous products, such as chrome ore, marble, cotton yarn, leather, cotton linter, Celestine and guar beans. Wang Chao said that the Chinese government always attaches great importance to the bilateral economic relations and trade between China and Pakistan. China does not pursue trade surplus with Pakistan and will approach the bilateral trade imbalance issue in a serious and pragmatic manner , he said.
