Saudi Minister of Commerce & Industry Dr Hashem bin Abdullah Yamani and the delegation of businessmen accompanying him held separate meetings with different Pakistani ministers and business representatives Tuesday. They included Minister for Petroleum & Natural Resources Amanullah Jadoon; Investment & Privatization Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh; Minister for Industries, Production & Special Initiatives Jehangir Tareen; the Chairman and senior officials of the Export Promotion Bureau and a representative delegation of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI). The two sides discussed expansion of trade and business relations at the official and private sector levels, officials said. They agreed that the business relations should match the excellent political ties existing between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia at the highest level. Dr Yamani and his delegation also met Pakistan Senate (Upper House of Parliament) Chairman Mian-Mohammad Soomro at the latter's farmhouse in Islamabad. Investment & Privatization Minister Dr Shaikh hosted a luncheon in honour of Dr Yamani and his delegation.
