At least thirty-two persons including several policemen were killed in two terrorist attacks in Pakistan Thursday, police said. A suicide bomber hit the gate of the police training college in Hangu (North West Frontier Province or NWFP), killing at seven policemen and a passerby. The routine police parade was underway when the suicide bomber tried to get into the training college. However, as the policemen deployed at the gate tried to stop him, he blew himself up. The policemen lost their lives in the bid. More than a dozen people were injured in the attack. The District Coordination Officer of Hangu Fakhar-e-Alam confirmed the attack and deaths. The other terrorist strike took place in Hub, an industrial town of Balochistan province, in which twenty-four persons were killed. Officials said death toll may rise as many injured persons were in serious conditions. They said that a remote controlled bomb that was exploded was meant to target a group of Chinese engineers, who were passing on the RCD highway. Some policemen deployed for security of the convoy of the Chinese engineers were also killed in the incident. Meanwhile, in the tribal area of North Waziristan, terrorists blasted up the post of paramilitary, Khasadar Force, near Mir Ali. Explosives had been planted near the post of Khasadar Force. The post was destroyed but no casualty was reported.
