At least sixteen security personnel were killed and 14 others wounded when terrorists struck a convoy of security forces in Pakistan's tribal areas bordering Afghanistan Wednesday, officials said. The attack took place in Madakhel, near Miran Shah, in North Waziristan. Pakistan Army spokesman Maj-Gen Arshad Waheed said that the security forces retaliated. Other officials said a number of miscreants were killed in the gun battle.
