The extraordinary session of the general conference of the Arab League's educational, scientific and cultural organization (ALESCO) resumed its deliberations here today. Saudi Arabia is represented at the conference by Dr Saeed Al-Mileis, the deputy education minister for boys. The conference was opened here yesterday in the presence of the Arab League's secretary general Amr Mousa and director general of ISESCO Dr Abdulaziz al-Tuweijiri, ABEGS' director Dr Ali al-Karni and a number of other officials. The participants of the seminar will review issues pertaining to the development of educational syllabuses in the Arab world as well as means of developing and promoting the scientific research works. The convening of the conference comes in line with the resolutions adopted by the Arab Summit, held in Riyadh last March.
