Eastern Destination Festival launched

Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Eastern Province opened here last night the summer festivities in Eastern province entitled "Eastern Destination."
Speaking on the occasion, Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Abdullah, the President of Tourism Development Council in Eastern Province said Al-Khobar is the first to adopt sustainable tourism plans. In 1999, the Tourism Council was established to develop tourism sector in the Province, setting the mechanism to construct tourism sites and issuing tourist visas for foreigners with cooperation of the concerned authorities.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaad.
