Pakistan and India have agreed to crack down on terrorists and drug traffickers during a regular security dialogue, officials said. «Both sides strongly condemned all acts of terrorism and underlined the imperative need for effective and sustained measures against terrorist activities,» said a joint statement issued late Tuesday by the two country's home ministers. The three-day meeting was scheduled to run through Wednesday, but Interior Secretary Syed Kamal Shah had to return to Pakistan a day early to deal with a standoff at a mosque in Islamabad between government forces and the radical students. The two countries also agreed to enhance information sharing and cooperation to stem the tide of cross-border trafficking of drugs and people, the statement was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.
