Over a dozen fighters of Taliban were killed in clashes in the southern Afghan province of Helmand, the US military reported early Sunday. Two coalition soldiers, one foreign and one Afghan, were also killed in the incident when coalition troops came under attack by militants in the Washir district. After several hours of fighting, the ground troops called for air support, which bombed the Taliban lines of attack. No civilians were killed in the clashes, the military was quoted as saying by the Deutsche Presse-Agentur.
