Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi will visit North Korea from July 2 to 4, a foreign ministry spokesman said on Thursday. Yang's trip will follow a two-day visit by US envoy Christopher Hill, who arrived in Pyongyang for talks earlier on Thursday. Both China and the United States are keen to revive a six-party process to negotiate the dismantlement of North Korea's nuclear weapons programme, the news agency DPA reported. Yang discussed North Korea and ways to push forward the six-party talks in a telephone conversation with his South Korean counterpart Song Min Soon on Thursday, the ministry said.
