THE 80TH SESSION FOR THE ARAB INFORMATION STANDING COMMITTEE BEGAN HERE TODAY UNDER THE CHAIRMANSHIP OF AMEEN BASYOUNI, THE HEAD OF THE COMMITTEE.
THE SAUDI DELEGATION TO THE MEETING IS LED BY DR ABDULLAH AL-JASSER, THE UNDER SECRETARY OF THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE AND INFORMATION FOR INFORMATION AFFAIRS.
THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE MEETING ARE SCHEDULED TO REVIEW A NUMBER OF TOPICS INCLUDING THE ROLE OF THE ARAB MEDIA IN SUPPORTING THE ARAB PEACE INITIATIVE, THE ROLE OF THE ARAB MEDIA IN CONFRONTING TERRORISM AND EXTREMISM AND OTHER RELATED TOPICS.
