U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned “in the strongest possible terms” Wednesday's terrorist attack in Beirut, Lebanon, that killed parliament member Walid Eido and seven others, U.N. spokeswoman Michele Montas said. Calling it “a heinous crime aimed at destabilizing Lebanon,” Ban called for the Lebanese authorities to find the terrorists and bring them to justice, Montas told reporters. “He urges all the Lebanese to unite in the face of acts of intimidation which attempt to divide them, and encourages Lebanese leaders to find a solution to the political issues facing the country,” said Montas.
