Dr. Hashim Yamani, the Minister of Commerce and Industry issued a notification today to prevent the rising cement prices in May and to retain the previous pricing approved by the Cabinet session on 01/06/1422 H . The new order will stabilize the cement pricing to back up the development boost in construction and building. The demand for cement this year (2007) will reach 26 million tons, thus many cement plants are having expansion projects to meet the rising cement demands.
