A college student opened fire in a college rooming facility Tuesday killing one person and wounding two, accoding to dpa. The incident occurred at a student living complex across the street from the California State University, Fresno, but the university remained open following the incident. The 460-room apartment complex was evacuated however. Police named the suspect as 19-year-old Jonquel Brooks, a criminology student, and said the incident was sparked by an argument between him and the victims, all of whom were residents of the dorm. FOX News said the argument stemmed from a video game dispute. Police said they were in touch with the suspect via cell-phone but did not have him in custody, The Fresno Bee reported. University and college campuses across the country are on high security alert after a student shot and killed 32 fellow students at Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, Virginia, last month.
