US President George W Bush met with his Peruvian counterpart, Alan Garcia, at the White House Monday for talks on free trade, DPA reported. Bush urged Congress to approve a free trade agreement negotiated with Peru in 2005 and emphasized the need to improve economies in South America. The two leaders also expressed their condolences to the family of a Peruvian student who died in the shootings at Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, Virgina.
