Russian-Indian anti-terror exercise Indra-2007 will take place in the Sea of Japan on April 24-27. "Taking part in the exercise will be Russia's submarine chasers The Marshal Shaposhnikov and The Admiral Vinogradov, a missile boat, a diesel submarine, the Pechenega maritime tanker, several trawlers, two tugboats, two Ka-27 helicopters and an Il-38 patrol plane," Itar-Tass quoted the press service of the Russian Pacific Fleet as saying today. India's Navy will engage three missile destroyers, a corvette and a tanker. "On April 24, vessels will enter the Sea of Japan from Vladivostok to master skills on shipping protection, the fight against maritime piracy and terrorist activities," the press service said. "Military helicopters will practice landing on board Russian and Indian ships and anti-terror groups will train landing on and protection of vessels seized by terrorists," the source said.
