Pakistan's Tourism Minister Nilofar Bakhtiar has flown to India to participate in a 3-day South Asia Travel and Tourism Expo (SATTE) to be held in New Delhi, according to an official statement. Pakistan would set up a big stall at this SATTE-Open World 2007 in which eighteen stakeholders from Pakistan relating to tourism industry including the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) would put up their show depicting Pakistan's great tourism potential in the region, Ms Bakhtiar said before her departure. The Minister said she would also meet her Indian counterpart Ambika Soni to explore ways and means to promote tourism between Pakistan and India. Pakistan is a great tourist destination country and government efforts had born fruit in promoting tourism, she said. Eighteen stakeholders from Pakistan in public and private sector have also gone to India to participate in the fair, which is being participated by a number of tourism related stakeholders from South Asian nations.
