The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz received last night a telephone call from Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir. During the conversation, the President informed King Abdullah that the Sudanese government signed a joint agreement with the African Union (AU) and the United Nations determining the duties of the AU and UN forces in Darfur. King Abdullah expressed thanks and appreciation to the Sudanese President and wished unity, security and peace for the Sudanese people. The agreement was one of the outcomes of the 19th Arab summit which has been held recently in Riyadh. King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz; Omar Al-Bashir; Secretary General of the UN Ban Ki-Moon; the Chief of AU Commission as well as Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Mousa met in Riyadh to resolve the issue of Darfur. -- SPA
