Iranian Parliament Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel described his visit to Pakistan as "very fruitful and positive", reported Iranian state news agency "IRNA" today. Speaking to reporters at the airport last night, the Speaker said "Iran and Pakistan enjoy common and close stances on all regional and international issues." During his visit, the Iranian official met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, Senate Chairman Mian Mohammad Sumro and National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain. He discussed with Pakistani officials construction of a gas pipeline which will transfer Iran's gas to Pakistan and India, dubbed as `Peace Pipeline'. Asked about mutual talks on beefing up security at Iran-Pakistan borders, he said the two countries' officials discussed security issues and they pledged to reinforce their measures to preserve border security and prevent bandits' activities. -- SPA
