ARAB LEAGUE SECRETARY GENERAL AMR MOUSA HAS INVITED ARAB FOREIGN MINISTERS COMMITTEE IN CHARGE OF ARAB PEACE INITIATIVE FOR AN URGENT MEETING WITHIN TWO WEEKS AT THE ARAB LEAGUE HEADQUARTERS TO CONTINUE EFFORTS TO FOLLOW-UP THE ACTIVATION OF THE ARAB PEACE INITIATIVE AND IMPLEMENTATION OF RIYADH SUMMIT RESOLUTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS, CONFIRMING THE ADHERENCE OF ALL ARAB COUNTRIES TO THE ARAB PEACE INITIATIVE ADOPTED IN BEIRUT ARAB SUMMIT 2002 TO END THE ARAB ISRAELI CONFLICT AND ESTABLISH COMPREHENSIVE AND FAIR PEACE THAT ENABLES THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE SET UP THEIR INDEPENDENT STATE WITH ALQUDS AS CAPITAL. IN PRESS REMARKS, MOUSA SAID THE AIM OF THE MEETING IS TO FOLLOW-UP THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RIYADH SUMMIT OUTCOME AND REITERATE THE ARAB CALL FOR ISRAELI GOVERNMENT AND ISRAELIS TO ACCEPT THE ARAB PEACE INITIATIVE AND SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RESUME THE STALEMATED DIRECT NEGOTIATIONS PROCESS. THE ARAB PEACE INITIATIVE COMMITTEE COMPRISES SAUDI ARABIA, JORDAN, BAHRAIN, TUNISIA, SYRIA, PALESTINE, LEBANON, QATAR, EGYPT, MOROCCO AND THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE ARAB LEAGUE.
