THE REPORT INCLUDED THE OUTCOME OF THE 19TH ARAB SUMMIT HELD IN RIYADH RECENTLY. MAJDI RADHI, SPOKESMAN OF THE CABINET, DREW THE ATTENTION TO THE SUCCESS OF THE SUMMIT DUE TO WHAT HE DESCRIBED AS HIGH-LEVEL EGYPTIAN SAUDI COORDINATION. HE HIGHLIGHTED THE SUMMIT'S ASSERTION OF PEACE AS STRATEGIC OPTION, REVIVAL OF THE ARAB PEACE INITIATIVE, REVIVAL OF THE FOLLOW-UP COMMITTEE AND DISCUSSIONS OF ARAB SECURITY ISSUES, PREVENTION OF NON-PROLIFERATION OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND ACCEPTANCE OF EGYPT'S PROPOSAL TO HOLD EXTRAORDINARY CONSULTATIVE SUMMITS WHENEVER DEEMED NECESSARY.
