The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) has called on all Islamic and international organizations to exert more efforts in order to provide drinkable water for millions of poor and needy people in Asia and Africa. This call came to mark the international water day. Secretary General of IIRO Dr. Adnan Khalil Basha said that IIRO will carry on its efforts in digging for water in the areas that suffer water shortages in Africa and Asia. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to all international organizations that worked in this regard notably the United Nations which said in its reports that 1.1 billion people in the world lack clean or sufficient water. -- SPA
