A string of attacks in violence-ravaged Iraq has killed more than nine people and wounded scores others on Saturday. In one incident, an explosion rocked Sadr City in Baghdad, killing five people and wounding 22 others. According to Interior Ministry sources, a car which was parked on the side of the road in front of a hospital exploded, dpa reported. In addition, a car bomb that war parked near a fuel station in al-Hillah, 100 kilometres south of Baghdad, killed two people and wounded 23 others. According to local police sources, seven of the wounded are in critical condition. Vehicles parked near the blast area also suffered serious damage. Separately, two people were killed and 11 were wounded in a car bomb blast in Touz Khourmato, an area dominated by Turkmen Shiites south of Kirkuk, 170 kilometres north of Baghdad.
