Russia today welcomed the outcomes reached by the Arab summit held recently in Riyadh. A source at the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the settlement of Middle East conflicts was put as a priority by the participants in the summit, lauding the stances of the Arab Leaders who asserted their adherence to the Arab peace initiative which calls for normalization of relations between Arab countries and Israel if the later withdraws from the occupied Arab teritories since 1967 and if a just solution to the Palestinian refugee issue is reached. The source also expressed Moscow's desire in continuing effective contact with the Arab League.
