Jordanian newspapers today hailed the stands of the 19th Arab Summit, now in progress in Riyadh, in support of Arab causes. In special articles published today, these newspapers said the address the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Summit, stressed his confidence in Arab citizens and the opening of a new page in the joint Arab relations. The paper pointed out the summit agenda and its deliberations also underlined the importance of the creation of a new Arab system which determines its future by itself. Jordan's newspapers also expressed satisfaction over Riyadh's summit decision to adopt the Arab peace initiative without any amendments on it, and its submission to the UN Security Council as an official document and to take practical steps for its activation. The papers also commended the summit's positive atmosphere which contributed to a great extent toward its success. -- SPA
