President Musharraf conferrs award on Admiral

President General Pervez Musharraf has conferred the award of Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) on Admiral Yener Karahanoglu, Commander Turkish Naval Forces, said an official statement.
The award has been conferred in recognition of Admiral Yener Karahanoglu's endeavors for strengthening cooperation between the Naval forces of Pakistan and Turkey.
Earlier Admiral Yener Karahanoglu called on President General Pervez Musharraf.
Musharraf recalled the extremely close and fraternal relations between Pakistan and Turkey and lauded his services in giving a meaningful and purposeful orientation to these ties.
Admiral Yener Karahanoglu thanked the government for conferring the prestigious award on him.
