Saudi Newspapers editorially commented today on the significance of the 19th Arab Summit, starting tomorrow in Riyadh and said its focus would be on firming up Arab Solidarity and resolving jointly key issues and challenges facing the Arab world. The Riyadh-based "Al-Jazirah" newspaper said the Arab summit is at the most important juncture in the Arab solidarity march, since it is convened in extraordinary circumstances facing the Arab World. "These circumstances make the summit face to face with challenges and hopes at the same time." Al- Jazirah pointed out that the Arab summit had achieved the first of its successes before it started, through its assertion that there are no messages or foreign dictates and finally there will be non-acceptance of any amendments in the contents of the Arab initiative endorsed at Beirut summit which is considered as a springboard for a comprehensive solution in the Middle East. The paper concluded by saying that the initiative at the top of the summit agenda represents the ideal and only method to deal with Israel as regards issues facing the Arab world. --MORE
