South Korean President Roh Moo-Hyun visited today the headquarters of the Shoura (Consultative) Council, as part of his current visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Later, Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Chairman of the Shoura Council and the visiting South Korean President held talks during which Dr. Bin Humaid said he is pleased with the talks, wishing that the visit will yield greater cooperation between the two countries in various fields. Meanwhile, President Roh hailed the existing ties between the two friendly countries and peoples. He also commended the major developments witnessed by the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. The South Korean President, then, addressed the Shoura Council and praised the process followed by the Kingdom under the wise leadership of King Abdullah and his great efforts to achieve political stability and economic development in Saudi Arabia. President Roh also highlighted his talks with King Abdullah on various current topics in the region and the world, wishing that the constructive relations between the two countries be enhanced through the parliamentary friendship committees. -- SPA
