A prisoner escaped today after three men armed with knives targeted a security van outside a court in Manchester, northern Britain, police said Thursday. The raiders struck at Salford Magistrates' Court where the prisoner was appearing. The driver of the van was punched in the face during the incident, dpa quoted police as saying.
