British troops serving with the European Union Force (EUFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina were beginning their final withdrawal later Wednesday, a EUFOR statement said. The withdrawal is part of the reduction of EU troops in Bosnia following the significant improvement of stability after the 1992-1995 war, dpa reported. The British administration announced the withdrawal of its 600 troops last month as part of an overall downscaling of EUFOR from some 6,000 to nearly 3,000 troops by the end of the year.
