Under the guidance of Minister of Culture and Information Iyad bin Ameen Madani and Assistant Minister of Culture and Information Prince Turki bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Ministry has prepared an integrated media plan for the upcoming 19th Arab Summit in Riyadh. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Undersecretary of Ministry of Culture and Information Dr. Abdullah Al-Jasser said that an international center for radio and television was established at Marriott Hotel containing control centers linked to space and land stations as well as TV control rooms and integrated TV studios. "This center is established in collaboration with the Arab States Broadcasting Union in order to provide Arab and international coverage of the Arab Summit," he added. Al-Jasser also said that the ministry provided in cooperation with the Arab States Broadcasting Union seven TV channels on Arabsat satellite as well as other radio channels in the European, Asian, African networks. "The Ministry also established an international center for reporters and media men at Marriott Hotel equipped with all necessary equipments," he added. Al-Jasser said that the Ministry will publish a daily bulletin in English and Arabic to follow up the activities of the summit and will be distributed at the information centers. Also, the Ministry launched a web site for the summit that includes integrated information on the previous Arab summits and comprehensive information on the progress of development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he noted.
