SPEAKING ON THE OCCASION, DR AHMAD AL-ASKAR, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE CONFERENCE, SAID ACCORDING TO THE STATISTICS OF THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO), THE NUMBER OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM CANCER IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA IS VERY LIMITED. ON HIS PART, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF HEALTH AFFAIRS AT THE NATIONAL GUARD DR ABDULLAH AL-RABEE'A HIGHLIGHTED THE INITIATIVE OF THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES, KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ TO ESTABLISH A TUMORS CENTER AT KING ABDULAZIZ MEDICAL CENTER IN RIYADH. PRINCE MITEB BIN ABDULLAH HIGHLIGHTED THE BIG STRIDES MADE BY THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA IN THE HEALTH SECTOR. HE LAUDED THE ROLE BEING PLAYED BY KING SAUD UNIVERSITY FOR HEALTH SCIENCES IN PROVIDING THE HEALTH SECTOR WITH THE QUALIFIED CADRES. PRINCE MITEB BIN ABDULLAH UNDERLINED THE IMPORTANCE OF THE CONFERENCE AND SAID SUCH CONFERENCES ENABLE THE SAUDI PHYSICIANS TO GET ACQUAINTED WITH THE EXPERIENCES OF OTHER NATIONS. LATER, PRINCE MITEB BIN ABDULLAH OPENED THE SHOW ORGANIZED ON THE FRINGES OF THE CONFERENCE.
