SAED ALORABI ALHARTHI, ADVISOR TO THE MINISTER OF INTERIOR AND CHAIRMAN OF THE SAUDI COMMITTEE FOR THE RELIEF OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE MET IN RIYADH TODAY WITH A UNITED NATIONS RELIEF DELEGATION. FOLLOWING THE MEETING, DR. ALHARTHI SAID THE MEETING, WHICH GATHERED THE DIRECTOR OF THE NEW-YORK-BASED BUREAU FOR COORDINATING HUMANITARIAN AFFAIRS; UNITED NATIONS AMBASSADOR AT LARGE TO THE WORLD FOOD PROGRAM AND DIRECTOR OF THE MIDDLE EAST BUREAU, REVIEWED A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS IMPELEMENTED BY THE SAUDI RELIEF COMMITTEES IN COOPERATION WITH UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING UNESCO, WORLD FOOD ORGANIZATION, UNRWA, INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR RED CROSS, AND UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM. THE DELEGATION LAUDED THE ROLE OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA IN SUPPORTING THE NEEDY DURING NATURAL DISASTERS AND WARS.
