Vice President of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization Mohammad Saidi said on the results of Russian-Iranian talks today that Iran hopes that Russia will fulfill its obligations to supply nuclear fuel for the Bushehr nuclear power plant by the end of March. Saidi headed the Iranian delegation at talks with the leadership of the Atomstroiexport group. According to the official, "Small financial problems have emerged" with the Russian side. Saidi expressed the Iranian side's readiness to take measures for their settlement. He said Iran is ready to provide additional funds for the completion of the Bushehr nuclear power plant construction on schedule. "We hope that Atomstroiexport and Rosatom (Russian Federal Atomic Energy Agency) will fulfill their obligations on the supply of nuclear fuel before the end of March and ensure the physical launch of the NPP reactor in September as envisaged by the contract," Saidi said in an interview shown by the Vesti television channel. A Russian official told Itar-Tass that the main issue discussed during the talks was "the resumption by Teheran of financing of the Bushehr NPP construction and supplies of equipment from third countries." -- SPA
