Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al-Alsheikh has held here a meeting with the Chairman of the Consultative Council of Indonesia Dr. Hidayat Nur. The meeting was attended by Indonesian Minister of Religion Muhammad Maftuh Basyuni and members of the Consultative Council. During the meeting, Dr. Hidayat briefed the Saudi Minister on the tasks performed by the Council. He also valued the visit paid by Sheikh Saleh to Indonesia, expressing hope of achieving greater cooperation between the two countries in all fields. Dr. Hidayat commended the Saudi government for its continuous support to the Indonesian government and people in all fields. On the other hand, Sheikh Saleh visited the Indonesian House of Representatives. He was received by Speaker of the House of Representatives Ajong Lxonu and a number of members of the House of Representatives. Lxonu lauded the Saudi-Indonesian relations as well as the support and assistance provided by the Saudi government to Indonesia. He also commended the efforts made by the Kingdom to serve Islam and Muslims as well as its support of Islamic issues, wishing that this visit will activate and enhance the existing cooperation between the two countries in all fields. Later, Sheikh Saleh visited the Arab Islamic Sciences Institute; the Saudi Charity Campaign Office; and Religion Attaché in Saudi Embassy in Indonesia where he was received by senior officials.
