THE PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE ISLAMIC SOLIDARITY FUND (ISF), CHAIRED BY ITS PRESIDENT SHEIKH HAMDAN BIN NASSER ALZA'ABI, STARTED ITS 52ND SESSION AT THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE SECRETARIAT GENERAL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF ISLAMIC CONFERENCE (OIC) IN JEDDAH TODAY. IN A KEY ADDRESS, PROF. EKMEMELEDDIN IHSANOGLU, SECRETARY GENERAL OF OIC, SAID THAT THE COUNCIL'S MEETING COMES AS OIC HAS MADE GREAT STRIDES TOWARDS REFORMING AND RE-ORGANIZING SOME OF ITS AFFILIATE AND SPECIALIZED AGENCIES, CITING THE ISLAMIC NEWS AGENCY, ISLAMIC JURISPRUDENCE COMPLEX AND ISLAMIC BROADCASTING UNION. HE LAUDED THE EFFORTS OF THE COMMITTEE FOR PROMOTING AND ENHANCING THE ISF WHICH, HE SAID, HAS DRAFTED A NEW VISION FOR THE WORK, MECHANISMS, PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS OF THE FUND IN A WAY THAT BENEFITS FROM ITS RESOURCES AND CAPABILITIES.
