General Wolfgang Schneiderhan, Chief of Staff of the German Armed Forces, has met General Ehsanul Haq, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee at the Joint Staff Headquarters. On arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, Haq received Schneiderhan, according to an official statement. A smartly turned out tri services contingent presented a guard of honour to the dignitary. Later, Wolfgang held formal talks, focusing on matters of mutual interest, with Haq. He was also given a presentation on the strategic concerns of the region. Schneiderhan is in Pakistan on a six-day visit. He joined the Budeswehr in 1966 and has held various command and staff positions and also served in NATO.
