A 5.3 maginitude quake jolted today the province of Gorontalo and its sorroundings in Sulawesi at around 11.15 p.m Central Indonesia Time. Elvin, staff at the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency here said people practically did not feel the tremor. "There was no report of damage as the quake was not too strong for the people to feel," ANTARA quoted Elvin as saying. According to the agency the epicenter of the quake was located 0.29 degrees Southern Latitude and 124.59 degrees Eastern Longitude around 192 kilometers southeast of Gorontalo in a depth of 48 kilometers in the sea. Earthquakes also occurred in Aceh measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale and in Maluku four on the Richter scale Thursday morning. The epicenter of the quake was located in Aceh 65 kilometers southwest of Sinabang in a depth of 170 kilometers. The epicenter of the quake in Maluku was located 43 kilometers south of Labuha in a depth of around 33 kilometers.
