IN IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DIRECTIVES OF THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO PEOPLES AFFLICTED WITH DROUGHT AND POVERTY IN SOUTH WEST AFRICAN (AL-SAHEL)COUNTRIES WORTH $ 11 MILLION THROUGH WORLD FOOD PROGRAM UNDER TITLE "SAUDI ARABIA, THE KINGDOM OF HUMANITY", AS MANY AS 650 TONS OF FOODSTUFFS, WORTH $ 500,000 WERE DISTRIBUTED IN GUINEA BISSAU AND 1300 TONS IN SIERRA LEONE. IN A STATEMENT TO THE SAUDI PRESS AGENCY (SPA), REPRESENTATIVE OF SAUDI MINISTRY OF FINANCE IBRAHIM AL-DARIOUSH SAID THAT THE KINGDOM HAS BEEN ONE OF THE LARGEST SUPPORTERS TO THE PROGRAM, NOTING THAT THE FIRST PHASE OF THE ASSISTANCE HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND INCLUDED SENEGAL, MAURITANIA, GUINEA BISSAU AND SIERRA LEONE.
