The President of World Gold & Diamonds Company of the United States, Nasruddin Rupani, has met Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resource Amanullah Jadoon and briefed about his plan to set up 11 gemstone cutting and polishing training centres in Northern Areas and other parts of Pakistan, according to an official statement. The minister told him that the government is taking concrete steps to explore the precious stones and other, metallic and non-metallic deposits in its different areas. He said that the government has already set up three training centers in the country to train the un-employed youth in gemstone cutting and polishing. The minister said that the government would launch a programme to train the youth in precious stones cutting, polishing and marketing aimed at to give a boost to the export of finished precious stones in world market. Jadoon said that the government would encourage and facilitate the Worlds Gold & Diamond Company in sitting up gemstone training centres and mining of deposits on scientific lines.
