PRINCE ABDULAZIZ BIN AHMED BIN ABDULAZIZ, PRESIDENT OF THE SAUDI ARABIAN EYE MEDICINE ASSOCIATION, AND PRESIDENT OF THE INTERNATIONAL MEDITERRANEAN BUREAU AGENCY FOR COMBATING TRACHOMA (IMBACT), HAS BRIEFED THE ARAB HEALTH MINISTERS COUNCIL MEETING, ONGOING IN ALGIERS TODAY, ON THE ACTIVITIES OF IMBACT IN COMBATING BLINDNESS IN THE REGION ADDRESSING THE MEETING, PRINCE ABDULAZIZ PROPOSED THE SET UP OF A CHARITY TO BE INTERESTED IN COMBATING EYE DISABILITY IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA. HE DISCLOSED THAT HE IS PLANNING TO BID TO GET THIS PROPOSAL APPROVED IN THE AFRICA-MIDDLE EAST EYE MEDICINE FORUM SCHEDULED TO BE HELD IN THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES IN APRIL 2007.
