IRANIAN PRESIDENT MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD LEFT HERE TODAY FOR KHARTOUM ON A TWO-DAY VISIT TO SUDAN. PRIOR TO DEPARTURE, AHMADINEJAD SAID SUDAN IN AN IMPORTANT MUSLIM AFRICAN COUNTRY WHICH HAS BEEN MAINTAINING DEEP-ROOTED RELATIONSHIP WITH IRAN. HE NOTED THAT HIS VISIT AIMS AT ENHANCING BILATERAL RELATIONS IN THE INDUSTRIAL, AGRICULTURAL AND ENERGY DOMAINS.
