Ahmed Khalifa NIASS, Senegal President s special envoy of Abdoulaye WADE, who is on a tour of a select group of Muslim countries, has delivered to President General Pervez Musharraf a message from President WADE. An official statement said that during the call, NIASS apart from conveying the best wishes of President WADE, commended Musharraf's courageous efforts to fight terrorism and extremism. He appreciated the President's efforts towards the restructuring of the OIC to meet the challenges of the 21st Century. Musharraf thanked the Senegalese special envoy for delivering a message of his President. Musharraf appreciated the sagacious leadership of the President of Senegal in resolving various regional disputes and promoting the ideal of the new partnership for African development (NEPAD). He hoped that the 2008 OIC Summit being convened in Dakar would be a big success. He also conveyed best wishes to President WADE in the forthcoming presidential elections.
